How to Reach Your Target Audience

A target audience is the primary group of people that something, usually an advertising campaign, is aimed at appealing to in offline marketing according to wikipedia. A target audience can be people of a certain age group, gender, marital status, etc.

However, reaching your target audience could be slightly different in Stategic Internet Marketing. A big factor to be strategic Internet Marketing is knowing who your target audience is and how to reach them. In order to conclude what types of customers you are trying to achieve you should be asking yourself the following questions:

  1. What age group are you demanding to sell to?
  2. Are you selling to a particular cultural group or gender?
  3. Will most of your consumers be married or single?
  4. How rapid will most Internet connections be?
  5. Will you aim clients who have children?
  6. What stage of schooling will most of your clients have?
  7. Where will most of your clients live?
  8. Will your customers have any explicit hobbies?
